Antonio Ercolino

September 26, 1924-May 1, 2010 Antonio was born in Peschici Italy. He was 85 years old. He died peacefully on May l in his sleep, after a courages battle with congestive heart failure.
He was his usual whimsical self, joking with his nurses and complaining that nothing in the room was in working order.

Antonio was trained and skilled as a master cabinetmaker in Trieste Italy, and Fumi Yugoslavia. He brought his skills with him when he migrated to the United States in 1953. He owned and operated Paulton Furniture Co. in San Francisco from 1959 until retiring in 1985. He was a custom furniture maker and could accomplish any job he was challenged with. He
worked with prominent interior designers of the time for many well known celebrities, a few favorites were Danny Kaye, Stanley Mosk, and Julio Gallo. His work can be seen in major hotels in San Francisco and Monterey. He also had a factory in Northern Italy where his chair designs were manufactured. He met his wife Dorothy when he was visiting her mother in 1968 and she introduced him to her. They were married shortly afterward and made their home in San Francisco. They enjoyed a weekend cottage on a 5 acre vineyard on Harrington Drive
for fifteen years before retiring to Sonoma in 1985. For fun he enjoyed deep sea fishing and always came home with the big ones, playing golf, pruning and caring for his vineyard, wine making with friends, which usually turned out to be better vinegar than wine;
gardening, gourmet Italian cooking, and dining at all his favorite Valley restaurants. He always planted an oversized garden and was happiest when he could share his fresh picked produce with friends and neighbors. He was a member of Sirs Branch 27, Sons of Italy, ICF and S.V. Moose Lodge.

He enjoyed his retirement and traveled extensively with his wife throughout the U.S., Europe, Canada, Hawaii and Mexico.

His favorite yearly vacation spot was Mexico. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He made friends were ever he went.

He brought laughter into the lives of those he meet. People liked him and he liked them. He had a generous heart and a big heart.

Beloved husband of Dorothy, loving step-dad to Maria Harvey and Roy Beck, grandfather to Grant, Rachel and Jesse.

Best friend of Tom Tarantino and his wife Rose. Loving brother-in-law to Frank Lograsso and his wife Patricia and brother-in-law to Jodi Adolph and her husband Dick, best friend of Tom Tarantino and his wife Rose and countless people who crossed his path.

He will be truly missed by all the people who knew him and loved him. The family would like thank Dr. James Price and his staff, Dr. Rolf Olness, and to Lucy his night shift nurse. Special thanks to our considerate, kind neighbor and friend Lonny Dunlap.
