Becoming Independent art on display at Mary’s Pizza Shack in Boyes Hot Springs

Through July 18 the artists at Becoming Independent will be exhibiting their unique and intuitive art at Mary’s Pizza Shack in Boyes Hot Springs. This exhibit continues the strong partnership between Mary’s Pizza Shack and Becoming Independent, which was started many years ago by the shack’s founder Mary Fazio’s daughter, Anna Byerly.

The exhibit features Becoming Independent portrait and landscape artist, Bob Best, who has been at Becoming Independent since August 2007 and works each day as a member of the ArtWorks team of artists. His style interprets the essence as well as the likeness of each person’s personality. Best has studied at Santa Rosa Junior College, and receives daily instruction from the Becoming Independent staff.
Best is also the winner of the 2002, 2004, and 2006 California State Council of Developmental Disabilities poster contest. His work has been contributed to numerous local art auction fundraisers which include Face to Face Art for Life, Laguna de Santa Rosa, and Canine Companions for Independence.

The art is available for purchase and benefits the Becoming Independent ArtWorks program and participating artists. Mary’s Pizza Shack is located at 19636 Sonoma Highway in Boyes Hot Springs.
