Position open on Springs redevelopment committee

The Springs Redevelopment Advisory Committee, a seven-member panel that advises the county board of supervisors, has an opening in the Residential Tenant category.

The RAC is charged with improving the community by funding non-profit organizations, public service programs, public works projects, business development and housing and improvements and development. It also facilitates the elimination of economic and physical blight on commercial properties in the Springs.  

Candidates must reside within the area located between Agua Caliente Rd. and the City/County line near Verano Avenue. The Springs Redevelopment Area extends west along Boyes Boulevard to encompass residential neighborhoods between Greger Street and Railroad Avenue.
