Posted on August 5, 2010 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Pets Lifeline’s signature fundraising event, the Black Cat Cabaret, returns this year and tickets are selling fast. Having added a show, Sonoma’s only animal shelter hopes to more than double the amount of money they raised last year.

“It’s all about the animals,” said Desiree Stinson, PLL executive director. “the money we raise, the more we can help homeless animals in the Valley.

Stinson, a former bigwig with Cirque du Soleil, initiated the unique event last year when she corralled her creative friends for “a little show.” The show got bigger and eventually took over Cornerstone Sonoma, raising close to $180,000.

This year, the cabaret will encompass two nights with 300 tickets available for each performance. New, a $75 general admission ticket that will enable many more Sonomans to experience Black Cat Cabaret.

The show takes place Thursday, September 9th and Friday, September 10th at the Field of Dreams. Tickets are limited with prices ranging from $75 – $250 per person. All proceeds will benefit the shelter’s rescue efforts and community outreach programs.
