Sold out!

Saturday’s first ever Napa Sonoma Wine and Food Festival at Cornerstone drew an estimated and unexpected 3,000 people to the garden and events center.  So large was the crowd that CHP was kept busy with an endless stream of traffic along Highways 12 and some would-be participants were even turned away at the door.  Cornerstone founder Chris Hougie said that while his staff was surprised and a bit overwhelmed by the response to the event, he felt positive about the forthcoming donation to the Stand by Me Mentoring Alliance, one of the day’s beneficiaries.  “We had quite a few people come from out of town areas like Napa, Marin and San Francisco so it seems that this festival is the type of thing people are very interested in,” said Hougie.  “The Mentoring Alliance was a terrific partner who provided lots of volunteers.  We sold an incredible amount of local wine as well.  All in all, it was a wonderful event and we have plans to streamline it next year to alleviate the congestion and overflow issues.”
