Center of attention

At the Sonoma Community Center open house on Tuesday night, Kathy Swett, the center’s executive director, congratulated Fred Perry and Gary Edwards as Volunteers of the Year.
The event included demonstrations and activities throughout the historic Napa St. building, from ceramics and painting to jewelry design and printmaking.
The center’s Backstage Theater offers the black-light “Calaveras Y Mariposas” installation through Nov. 19, while its Gallery 212 shows the “Objects of Memory” exhibit through Nov. 26. For a complete list of upcoming events and classes, see sonomacommunitycenter.org.
