Arts Guild reception

“Natural Waistline,” a work by invited artist Roberta Alexander, is part of the Arts Guild show.

Just in time for holiday shopping, the Arts Guild of Sonoma’ December Invitational Show opens an extended six-week show this weekend. The artworks, created by 38 artists, include fine art, crafts and jewelry.

The show runs Friday, Nov. 26 through the month of December.

Fifteen invited artists and twenty-three member artists will participate this year. Artists’ work include acrylic, encaustic, oil and water color paintings, jewelry, mixed media work, metal sculpture, gourd work and more, including hand-made holiday ornaments and cards.

 Invited artists include: John Agar, Roberta Alexander, Julia Capener, Lisa Ellis, Cynthia Hipkiss, Lolly Jones McCormack, Zak McCormack, Donna Olmstead, Pamela Pac, Eden Pieper, Eleanor Portner, Bev Prevost, Linda Semple, Di Starr, Lee Terminello, and Barbara White-Perry.

 These guests will be joined by exhibiting AGS artists Patricia Akay, Barbara Aliza, Pat Biggs, Beth Changstrom, Leta Davis, Irene Eheert, Zaza Fetterly, Christine Gonsalves, Ketherine Greeme, Susan Herringa-Pieper, Kirk Hinshaw, Paul Kirley, Ty Krauss, Sandra Lane, Christine MacDonald,Helen Mehl,Martin Munson, Andrea Patri, Katie Richardson, David Ross, Joan Shepherd, Sharon Sittloh, Lyn Swan and Thena Trystad.

The official opening reception for the exhibit and sale will be Friday evening, Dec.10.
The gallery is located at 140 E. Napa St and admission is free. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Monday. In December the gallery will also be open on Wednesday. For more visit artsguildofsonoma.org.
