Teaching by example

The work “All Around,” by instructor Teddy Elston, is among those featured in a faculty exhibition at the Sonoma Community Center’s Gallery 212. The show of original paintings, drawings, prints, and sculpture by SCC faculty members opens with a 5 p.m. reception on Friday, Jan. 7 and runs through Jan. 28. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tues. through Sat. The exhibit provides an opportunity for faculty members to display their creative work to students and the community at large while giving prospective students a chance to preview instructors’ work prior to the start of winter classes on January 10.
