Fran Meininger will help job seekers find the right look with Jan. 24 seminar.

You may have all the answers in a job interview – but what are your clothes saying about you?
Two Sonoma businesswomen will present a workshop to help job seekers put together a winning outfit for an interview.  In the Jan. 24 session, Fran Meininger of My Girlfriend’s Closet and Joanne Sanders of Bolt Staffing Service Inc. will discuss projecting the right image to land the job.
“The idea for the seminar came from a conversation we had at the Sonoma Valley Chamber’s Women in Business Breakfast,” Meininger said. “It’s a way for us to support women in presenting their best image, by putting together outfits that will get them the position they desire.”
The seminar will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Meininger’s retail shop at 539 First Street West.
The class, animated with live models, will demonstrate coordinated outfits for the most common positions in the North Bay, she said. Attendees will learn to avoid the most common mistakes applicants make, the do’s and don’ts of dressing for an interview, and which styles will enhance their unique image.
There will be time dedicated for one-on-one assistance for those who want advice putting together an outfit.  Attendees will receive a 20% discount on merchandise purchased within 30 days after the seminar.
Sanders and Meininger are experienced local business professionals. A former executive and consultant in nonprofit administration for two decades, Meininger recently opened My Girlfriend’s Closet, a consignment boutique with an inventory of job interview and professional apparel.
Sanders has been a staffing industry leader for fifteen years. Since starting her company, Bolt Staffing, has interviewed and placed thousands of applicants for the region’s most popular companies.  She is the Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Sonoma and serves on the Golden Gate Bridge District Board.
The seminar is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required. RSVP to 933.3050 or [email protected]
