Marietta Stevenson Wedell – April 18, 1925-January 29, 2011

Marietta Stevenson Wedell entered into eternal rest on January 29, 2011. She was born in Salt Lake City on April 18, 1925, the eighth child of Mary and Hyrum Stevenson. Marietta was a fantastic homemaker as well as a chemist at UCSF, an educator, a real estate agent and an avid football fan.

She married Joseph Wedell, M.D. in January of 1951, together they were the proud parents of four children, Jeff, Mary, Robert and David. They were also blessed with 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

They lived in San Francisco, Belmont, and Woodside. They traveled the world and loved the adventures that life brought them. In 1993, at an age too early for fairness, Joe passed away. Marietta kept herself busy by volunteering as a docent at the Filoli gardens in Woodside. She eventually relocated to Sonoma where she lived at Sonoma Hills Retirement Community.

Marietta was laid to rest with her husband at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos, CA.
