Museum makes fashion statement

The Sonoma Valley Museum of Art throws a reception Friday night, Feb. 18, to celebrate the opening of two new exhibitions.
“Eco Chic: Towards Sustainable Swedish Fashion” showcases Swedish fashion designers who take an environmentally friendly and ethical approach to their work without sacrificing runway appeal. “Daniel McCormick: Iterations of Ecological Art and Design,” meanwhile, features installations of environmental art, sculpture and design.
Museum members (you can join at the door) will see both first at the opening party, 6 to 8 p.m. Museum hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. svma.org.
