Free screening of 'Crude Impact'

Posted on March 23, 2011 by Sonoma Valley Sun

The documentary “Crude Impact,” a documentary that examines the dire implications of global peak oil, will be screened free on Thursday, March 24, at the Sonoma Community Center.

Writer/director James Jandak Wood will attend the 7 p.m. event and introduce his film.

“War, population growth, politics — these are all deeply intertwined with energy capture and use, and in the modern world particularly the capture and use of fossil fuels,” he said.

“Crude Impact” has been an official selection at over thirty film festivals around the world and has won numerous awards.

The event is part of the monthly movie series presented by Transition Sonoma Valley. Light refreshments will be served, but guests should bring their own cup.
