Rabobank underwrites Sonoma Valley Fund’s community celebration

With the presentation of a big ceremonial check, Rabobank has officially underwritten the Sonoma Valley Fund’s annual Community Celebration, to be held Sunday, Oct. 23 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the new Hanna Boys Center Legacy Pavilion. The Fund’s community celebration and awards ceremony recognizes outstanding volunteers selected by its more than 17 local nonprofits partners.

Vice President and Manager of Rabobank’s Sonoma Branch, Cathy Gorham told Sonoma Valley Fund that, “Rabobank supports local non-profits through donations and sponsorships. The bank also encourages its employees to volunteer with local non-profit and civic organizations. By sponsoring this event, Rabobank is able to thank and congratulate all of these organizations that have a large impact on our community.”

Sonoma Valley Fund is an affiliate of Community Foundation Sonoma County. There to strengthen the community through philanthropy and legacy giving. Sonoma Valley Fund is a resource for donors who wish to make charitable gifts, especially as part of their estate planning, to preserve and enhance the quality of life in Sonoma Valley. Since its inception two years ago, Sonoma Valley Fund donors have awarded over $175,000 in grants back to the community. Donors may make gifts through a variety of programs to benefit specific causes of importance to them, or rely on the Fund’s Board of Directors who are long-term, active residents of Sonoma Valley.
