Last chance to apply for hospital board

The Sonoma Valley Health Care District board of directors is seeking a community-minded, health-conscious, forward-thinking citizen with a desire to work with a collegial and committed board of directors, to come forward with an application to serve out the term vacated by Dave Chambers, who resigned August 5, 2011.
Applicants must be registered voters of the Health Care District and must submit an application, limited to two pages and describing their interest and qualifications, to the administrative offices of the hospital at 347 Andrieux St. in Sonoma.
The deadline is 5 p.m. on Friday, September 16.
The board will interview all applicants and make their selection at a special board meeting on Wednesday, September 28.
