Sock it to me

Posted on January 5, 2012 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Toasty toes were on the minds of Sonoma Valley High School science students this holiday season as the ag program once again launched their annual fundraiser.  The students chose to collect and donate socks because, as Future Farmers of America President Linaya DiNoto pointed out, “socks are something overlooked by most people.”

Competition was fierce as the 500-plus students competed to see which science class could bring in the most socks.  All told? – close to 300 pairs collected.

“There were bunches of Christmas socks and toe socks and other fun designs.  Everyone went all out and brought socks for kids, adults, even babies,” said Dinoto.

The socks were donated to FISH.
