Three times one
A trio of North Bay singer/songwriters highlight the latest edition of Meadowcroft Family of Wines’ “Songwriters In Sonoma” series as B.C. Fitzpatrick (pictured), John Courage, and Judah Nagler, each performing solo, headline the intimate 7 p.m. show on Thursday, Feb. 16. Gerard Serafini, owner of Sonoma Valley Music, hosts and produces the monthly music series. Tickets are $10. Wine, cheese and charcuterie available for purchase. Green goes gold
From windmills in Denmark to tidal turbines in Ireland to concentrated solar plants in California, new energy technologies suggest hope for a clean, sustainable future – for the environment and the economy. “The Next Frontier: Engineering the Golden Age of Green,” coming Feb. 16 to Sonoma Grange Hall, documents innovative efforts to lower carbon dioxide emissions and a dependence on fossil fuels. 7 p.m. Free, but donations are welcome. 18627 Sonoma Valley Hwy. At age 18, Sonoma native Sarah Summers is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. The blossoming talent, winner of the Sonoma Cultural and Fine Arts Commission’s 2011 Student Creative Arts Award, takes the Andrews Hall stage on Friday, Feb. 17 as part of the Sonoma Community Center’s Young Emerging Artists series. 6:30 p.m. $10. 276 E.
