St. Francis hosts “Our Town” art and music show

Students at St. Francis Solano School prepare for their “Our Town” art and music show, coming on March 23.

Take a unique look at Sonoma as seen through the eyes of St. Francis students at the “Our Town” Art and Music Show on Friday, March 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Sonoma Community Center.

Each grade at St. Francis Solano School has selected a Sonoma landmark and each child has captured that landmark in his or her grade’s chosen medium including water color, charcoal and more. Featured landmarks include the Sonoma Mission, the Plaza Duck Pond, the Sebastiani Theater, City Hall and more.

The art show also features silent auction art from prominent Sonoma Valley artists including: Sonoma Treasure Artist Dennis Ziemienski, Paul Kirley and Mike Pucci. In addition to the art, there will also be musical and vocal performances from St. Francis students throughout the night.  These talented students will cover classical and contemporary pieces, in vocal, string and piano performances.  One of the many highlights is a piano and vocal performance by St. Francis alumnus and Sonoma Idol’s Danny Wirick.

Tickets are $35 and admit one adult and one child. Additional adult tickets are $25 each; there is no charge for additional children. Ticket price includes entry, complimentary cheese selection, a complimentary glass of wine and one raffle ticket. The raffle includes “Pick a Prize” options:  golfing and lunch for four at Meadowood; a “Homebodies Pack” including $250 in gift cards an Baldwin Interiors designer room at cost; an adult fit and well package with plans from Synergy Dental, Yoga Community and Sonoma Aquatic Club; or a youth fit, fun and well package from Synergy Dental, Sonoma Aquatic Club and Broadway Quilts.
