In the bag

It’s the purses that are used; the women will all look fabulous for the “Old Bags Luncheon in Celebration of Women,” on Friday May 18. The Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation will honor two exceptional individuals for the significant impact they have had throughout the community.

The event will begin with an exciting and anticipated Old Bags Silent Auction. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on fabulous designer purses; some new and others previously loved, donated by local philanthropists.

Following the auction will be the Celebration of Women luncheon recognizing Patricia A. England and Valerie Pistole for their long-standing dedication and leadership through their volunteerism, community involvement and philanthropy

Both recipients have been active supporters of a variety of nonprofit organizations and join the ranks of Sonoma’s most dedicated civic leaders who have received this honor. Sharen Papich and Kathy Kennett are co-chairs and Marcy Smothers will serve as honorary chair.

The event will be held at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa. Tickets are $100 and are on sale now at 935.5077 or Svh.com/foundation.
