Tuesday Night Farmers’ Market Manager Chris Welch and Market Board Chair Bill Dardon step up recycling efforts at the weekly event with new cans, color-coded to capture more compost, recyclables and trash. With the market responsible for all event clean up, Dardon designed the new can program to make it easier for patrons to “keep our market clean and green.” While the Tuesday night crowds have been conscientious about trash, the five sets of new cans is “really a step up for the recycling program,” Dardon said. “This will really lessen the footprint.”
