Artist Sandy Young, whose mixed media works include “Contemplating the Universe,” is this month’s featured artist at the Arts Guild of Sonoma.
Combining kiln-formed glass with mixed media painting and photography, Young obscures and reveals image fragments to explore “the arena where time compresses and expands, and where ideas, emotions and memories appear and disappear.” Work by Guild members are included in the show, which runs through August 27.
