Fishing for donations

Posted on December 13, 2012 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Leading their teams of bell-ringers in support of Friends in Sonoma Helping are, from left, Cathy Gorham of Sonoma Rotary; Michael West, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church; Ilene Addison, Soroptimist Club; Constance Sharpe, Glen Ellen Rotary; and Lea Ronald and Roger Wright, Kiwanis Club.

With the coins and dollars collected during the four weekends before Christmas, FISH is able to provide a three-day supply of groceries to feed nearly 2,000 households, and provide 350 Holiday Baskets. The all-volunteer organization has also helped 250 families with utilities or rent. Can’t find a bucket? Drop a contribution into the mail to: FISH, P.O. Box 507, Sonoma, CA 95476. Volunteers are needed as well. Call 996.0111 to get involved.
