Posted on December 19, 2012 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Impact100 Sonoma has set February 1 as the deadline for nonprofits to apply for its $100,000 Impact Grant or the $5,000 to $15,000 Community Grants.

Forms and instructions are available at Impact100sonoma.org.

Following a review process, Impact100 Sonoma will notify applicants by February 22 if they have or have not been selected to submit a full proposal. Last year, Impact100 Sonoma received 39 initial applications. In June 2012, a total of $195,000 was awarded to nine nonprofits serving the Sonoma Valley.

Letters of inquiry for the $100,000 Impact Grant will be accepted for programs in the following four priority areas: (1) prevention and intervention; (2) social outreach; (3) enrichment and environment; and (4) women and girls. Community Grants will be accepted for capital grants, innovation program grants, and planning for strategic partnering/collaboration program grants.

The mission of Impact100 Sonoma is to increase the number of women involved in local philanthropy, raise awareness of the unmet needs of nonprofits in Sonoma Valley and make an impact on the long-term sustainability of Sonoma Valley’s nonprofit community.

The organization brings together at least 100 women in a common purpose: to award an Impact Grant of $100,000 every year to a Sonoma Valley nonprofit organization. Impact100 Sonoma has granted a total of $462,000 for Sonoma Valley nonprofits since its founding in 2009.
