Melvin Giorgi

For all those who were part of Mel’s life it’s important to acknowledge an aspect of his life that some may not know. My name is Wendy Fisher and Mel was my father. I only found this out myself at age 30 at which time we began a correspondence and had a series of visits for the last 13 years. In those years I experienced Mel’s kindness towards myself, my husband Matthew and our 7-year old daughter Maya despite the challenges of developing a relationship such as ours late in our lives.

While reading Mel’s obituaries after his passing I was interested to learn of his background and therefore learn of my own family history.

I wish to send my heartfelt condolences and best wishes to all of Mel’s relatives and friends who were touched by his life.
