In a wonderful tradition at the city’s very heart, the Sonoma Arbor Day Celebration, a young tree (Chinese Pistachio) will be planted on the Plaza; all are invited to grab a shovel and become part of the living history.

Tom Rusert, pictured, who founded the event among his many nature-friendly endeavors, will be presented with the Rotary Club Conservation Award. Music, poetry, student presentations and more. Friday, April 26. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free.
