Assemblymember Mariko Yamada meets with constituents and community leaders at Grange Hall as part of a tour of Boyes Hot Springs last week. “Both my District Director, Tom Bartee, and I appreciated the opportunity to meet with Springs residents, and to hear first-hand their concerns of today and their hopes for projects yet to come,” Yamada told The Sun.

Gina Cucli, a member of the Sonoma County Board of Education, accompanied Yamada to Nuestra Voz, Valley of the Moon Teen Center and La Luz. Another stop was the site of a proposed mixed-use project that includes the community health center and an affordable housing element. “In my more than 20 years of being an activist working to improve the Springs, this is the first time I can recall that a member of the assembly has made a special trip to our community simply to learn more about it,” Cuclis said.
