Comedy at Murphy's

After debuting on Letterman, comedian Mike E. Winfield has appeared on Showtime’s “Comics Without Borders,” Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and won a reoccurring role on NBC’s “The Office.” And by the way, he hates it when people say they don’t remember the beginning of “A Different World” when Sinbad was juggling the basketball.

A Baltimore native who now lives in Sacramento (which must be a funny bit right there) comes to Murphy’s Irish Pub for shows on Friday, May 17 (9 p.m.) and Saturday, May 18 (6 and 9 p.m.) Host Torio Van Grol also welcomes comics Anderi Bailey and Dustin Hempstead. Tickets (which include a Lagunitas beer) are $20 at, and $25 at the door, 464 First St.
