Armed robbery with fake gun

A masked man robbed a woman at (fake) gunpoint early Wednesday morning in the parking lot of the Maxwell Village Shopping Center.

The woman walking into the Sonoma Lucky’s store in Maxwell Village at about 4 a.m. when a pick-up truck approached her in the parking lot, according to the Sheriff’s report.

The driver of the truck, who was wearing a black hoodie and a black mask over his face, got out of the truck, pointed a black pistol at her and demanded her purse.

The woman complied by giving him her lunch bag, and the suspect fled in the truck. 



A description of the suspect’s truck was broadcast to surrounding agencies to be on the lookout. 

At about 4:30 a.m, a truckmatching the description was stopped near the Chardonnay Golf Club on Jameson Canyon Rd.

The three men inside, all from Turlock, were arrested. Officer found two replica Smith & Wesson BB pistols in the cab of the truck, along with the Sonoma woman’s lunch bag and a black ski mask.

The driver, 20, was arrested for robbery and possessing stolen property. The passengers, both 19, were arrested for possession of stolen property. All three suspects were booked at the Sonoma County Jail.
