Public forum on Measure B

Posted on September 23, 2013 by Sonoma Valley Sun

The Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a public forum on Measure B, the Hotel Limitation Measure, on Thursday, October 3, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Burlingame Hall, 252 Spain St.

Representatives from the Preserving Sonoma Committee, which sponsored the initiative, and Protect Sonoma, the group that opposes it, will present their positions on Measure B and respond to questions. Community member and long-time civic volunteer Dick Fogg will moderate.

Measure B, the lone item on the city of Sonoma’s Nov. 19 special election ballot, would limit the size of new hotels, and the expansion of current properties, to 25 rooms unless the annual hotel occupancy rate reaches 80 percent for the previous calendar year.

The forum is free and open to the public.
