Fatal crash on Arnold Drive

One person was killed and three others badly injured Tuesday night when two cars collided on Arnold Drive near Meadowlark Lane.

Damodar Chandradas, 25, of San Francisco, was driving a 1997 Jaguar southbound when the car suddenly veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a northbound Toyota Corrolla driven by Gustavo Adolfo Mejia, 26, of Greenbrae. A male passenger, 26, in the Jaguar was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chandradas sustained major injuries and was taken by helicopter to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa. Mejia and his 5-year-old female passenger, who was air-lifted to Children’s Hospital in Oakland, sustained major injuries as well.

Chandradas is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the CHP reported.
