Laid back laughs

L.A. comedian Karl Hess is an open book: he’s a person, he says, he enjoys tacos and leisure, and calls his website World Procrastination Headquarters.

He has performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, SXSW, and San Francisco Sketchfest, among many others across the country, and was voted by as one of the Best Underground Comics of 2011. With opening acts Andrew Holmgren and Matt Louv, Hess plays a Back Alley Comedy gig at Murphy’s Irish Pub on Saturday, March 22, with shows at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Hosted by Torio Van Grol. $12-$15, two drink minimum. 464 First St. E. 935.0660.
