oldphotoEven for Sonoma’s most historic and celebrated venue, it’s a first – the Sebastiani Theatre’s own 80th birthday bash. The year-long celebration begins Saturday, April 19 with a spectacular variety show of music, magic, dance and more.

This unique and wonderful variety show features fantastic performances by notable talents including Tommy Thompson with Cliff Hugo & Gary Vogensen; Jeff Gilbert, The Last Crooner; the gorgeous Nathalie Tedrick of The Bellydance Superstars; the multi-talented Tobias Weinberger; The Sonoma Conservatory of Dance; The Defying Gravity Gals; the lovely vocalist/guitarist Laura Benward; washboard player extraordinaire Peter Babcock; Voices in Our Head; the hauntingly glorious voice of Misty; and Roger Rhoten, The Magic Man.

Sponsored by the Sebastiani Theatre Foundation, this is the first event of many more to come throughout this 80th Anniversary year of the classic theatre, which has served as an artistic and cultural focal point in the Sonoma Valley community since it opened in April, 1934.

Doors at 7 p.m., show at 7:30. Reserved seating $25 at the theatre box office, Readers’ Books, or 996.9756.
