A colorful garden all year long

Posted on April 19, 2014 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Master Gardener Linda Keating King will examine “Designing the Garden for Year-Round Color” at the May 1 meeting of the Valley of the Moon Garden Club. The 7 p.m. event is open to the public at the Sonoma Veterans Building, 126 First St. W.

A Sonoma County Master Gardener since 2001, King will demonstrate how to create color and texture in the garden, and the use of drought-tolerant plants to give year-round color. By using the right plant for the right space, King advises, beautiful, lush gardens need little pest management.

The event is free to VOM Garden Club members, and $5 for guests. Free refreshments and a plant raffle are provided.
