Sonoma police chased down a speeding driver late Monday night after the suspect crashed his Ford Taurus off a parked car and onto a residential front porch on Riverside Drive.

A deputy saw the car run a stop sign, then accelerate to 50 mph in a 25 mph zone before blowing through another stop sign. A brief chase ensued, but as the Taurus turned on Riverside Drive, it left the roadway, and crashed into a parked car and the front porch of a house.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed open containers of alcohol. The driver, Fabian Francisco Martinez, 23, from Boyes Hot Springs, was arrested for drunk driving and felony evading. The passenger, Francisco Perez, 20, from El Verano, was cited for violation of probation.
