The Sunflower Caffe in Sonoma is closing for renovations for three weeks starting Monday, April 27. According to management, the remodel will only be in the kitchen and a reopening date is still unknown. Sunflower Caffe is a hotspot with locals and tourists alike, with its pleasant outdoor patio and ever-changing seasonal breakfast and lunch menu.

Out of towners voiced their woes of the impending closures: “I’m coming for a visit at the end of May for a week. You have to be open or I will cry,” said Dorothy Muro of Sarasota, Florida. The cafe gained national recognition after its appearance on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives television show. 421 1st St. W., Sonoma; 996-6645; sonomasunflower.com
