Hospital sponsors mammograms in May

Posted on May 8, 2015 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Sonoma Valley Hospital’s Women’s Health Center will provide no-cost mammogram screenings for uninsured and underinsured Sonoma Valley women over the age of 40 during May. The screening program, known as Project Pink, is made available as a community service through a special grant from the Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation.

The program is open for women who are 40 years or older, have not had a mammogram within the past 12 months, and live or work in Sonoma Valley. Services are for women who have difficulty affording a mammogram because they are uninsured, underinsured, or have a high deductible.

To take advantage of the program, a woman must obtain an order from her physician, who can fax the order to Sonoma Valley Hospital at 707.935.5271.
If you do not have a physician, please contact the Women’s Health Center at 707.935.5215 and Hospital staff will help you.

Screenings will be conducted at the Sonoma Valley Hospital’s Women’s Health Center, located at 246 Perkins Street in Sonoma. Bilingual support staff is available.

To register or for more information, contact 707.935.5215 or svh.com.
