Sam Sondheim and James McKale of Sonoma Valley High School win the Sonoma County League doubles championship at the SCL tournament at Santa Rosa Junior College. The duo notched straight-set victories over El Molino and Analy before topping another Analy team 6-2, 6-1.
Accompanied by SCL Coach of the Year Tom Bryne, who lead the Dragons to the league team title, Sondheim and McKale then advanced to the North Coast Section championship tournament at Chabot College. After an opening round win over Antioch, the Sonoma team fell to Monte Vista.
