Peter Coyote at Readers’ Books

Posted on May 18, 2015 by Sonoma Valley Sun

rainmanbk1aWho better to hear read from a book (his own) than voice-over talent Peter Coyote? The accomplished actor, narrator and writer will read from his new book, “The Rainman’s Third Cure,” on Thursday, May 28, 7 p.m. at Readers’ Books in Sonoma.

Coyote, who lives in Mill Valley, began his career in the San Francisco Mime Troop. He has appeared in more than 100 films, including “Erin Brockovitch,” “A Walk to Remember,” and “E.T.”

His distinctive voice has been heard on everything from Academy Awards broadcasts to two Ken Burns PDS documentaries, most recently “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History.”

Coyote was a leader of the Digger movement in the sixties, which began a lifetime
interest in activism. He has been trained as Zen teacher, which is his current life’s work.

He has written for Mother Jones, as well as the initial memoir “Sleeping Where I Fall.”

The public is invited to this reading at no charge. Readers’ Books is located at 130 East Napa Street, Sonoma. For more information, call 939-1779 or readers.indiebound.com.
