This month, the Carneros Wine Alliance, a non-profit association of wineries and grape-growers in the Carneros AVA, will celebrate their 30th anniversary with a Year of the Ram Birthday Bash.

Carneros means ram in Spanish and this year is the Year of the Ram in the Chinese zodiac calendar, making the timing all the more perfect.

The event will take place at the legendary di Rosa art collection in Napa (on the border of Sonoma County!). Guests will enjoy wine pairings with Carneros AVA wines and food from Stag Dining Group, accompanied by live music. Nibbles include suckling pig, vegetarian options like charred corn on the cob and falafel, and a soft-serve ice cream bar.

A blind wine tasting contest will  take place and every half hour a raffle drawing will award magnums of Carneros AVA wine to the lucky winners. Participating wineries include Sonoma Valley favorites like Anaba, Ram’s Gate, Schug, Poseidon’s Vineyards, and Ceja.

Walking tours of the amazing property will take place, which is quite a remarkable experience – Rene di Rosa’s art collection is quite an eccentric and inspiring sight to behold. Guests will also be able to make their own wine art inspired by the di Rosa collection.

The bash is July 25, 3:30PM-6:30PM at di Rosa. Tickets required and the event will sell out. $100/per person. Learn more and purchase tickets at carneros.com.
