Today and Wednesday are both Spare the Air Days.
The declaration is due to two primary reasons – most notably the Wragg Fire burning near Lake Berryessa and the heavy levels of smog, caused by ground-level ozone, which is fairly common during super hot days. Both of these factors will lead to poor air quality tomorrow (and possibly future days this week).
Folks who are particularly sensitive to unhealthy air should limit their times outdoors. For those who are up in arms against leaf blowers – we suggest you stay indoors, as this could be one of those days that you hope they are banned in Sonoma city limits, sooner. Seriously.
