I really wished you had printed the part in my letter to the editor on big money in Sonoma, concerning the change to the vacation rentals ordinance where more than 4 people in a back yard between 9:00 PM and 10:00 AM is considered a violation. After 3 complaints the owner then loses his permit. I know you have to edit letters, but this is what is in the draft and most likely be submitted to the county supervisors to approve. I have written several letters to the planning commission on how unfair I think this is and plan to speak at 11-19 meeting if allowed. I would hope the Sun will publish more on what is in the new proposed ordinance and start some discussion about what is reasonable and fair.

Eliminating noise pollution in any form is very fair – to all the people who aren’t making the noise!
What if 5 people are not making noise and what if you are one of the 5 people? Then it follows at no more than 4 people should be outside anywhere between the hours of 9:00 PM and 10:00 AM.
