Get juicy: Juice on the Square opens in Kenwood
Santa Rosa-based juice bar and cafe, Juice on the Square, has opened their second location in Kenwood.
Juice on the Square makes “cold-pressed” organic juice and nutmilks.
Cold-pressed juice means that a hydraulic press is used to extract the juice from the fruit or vegetables.
“Our juices are never heated and not pasteurized. With this said that means you are getting the maximum amount of nutrients,” co-owner Theresa Chavarria shared.
Folks who love it – really love it. It’s often more expensive than pasteurized juices and tastes like it’s fresh squeezed.
It’s got quite a cult following. It’s popular for juice cleansing (detoxing) and Juice on the Square even designs cleansing packages for customers.
“Our cold-pressed is all organic, drawing many ingredients from local farmers here in Sonoma County, and contains at least 2 lbs of produce in each bottle,” according co-owner Wes Coffman.
It also marks one of the few total vegetarian dining options in our community. Yeah!
Juices and nutmilks are $10 for a 16oz. glass bottle. Juices include Daily Greens (celery, kale, apple, fennel, lime, mint and ginger) and Lemon Burner (filtered water, lemon, local honey, and serrano peppers).
They offer a variety of nutmilks, including Revive (avocado, cashew milk, dates, vanilla bean, chia seeds, bee pollen, lime and sea salt) and Chocolate Milk (pumpkin seeds, dates, cacao beans, coconut sugar, cacao butter, vanilla bean and sea salt).
They also offer Elixirs ($4.50/2oz. shots of ginger based juices/), fresh squeezed orange juice ($5/12oz.), smoothies ($7/12oz.), cold brewed coffee ($4/12oz.), pour-over coffee ($3-3.50), tea ($3/12oz.) and in-house made Kombucha ($6-8/16oz.).
In addition to drinks, they also offer salads and oatmeals, too.
