Community meeting on Springs master plan

The third of five community workshops on future development in the Springs will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 6 p.m., at the Sonoma Charter School. The public is encouraged to attend and provide input into planning for the Springs area, which includes the Highway 12 corridor from Agua Caliente Road to Verano Avenue.

The goal of the County’s Springs Specific Plan is to gradually transform the area into a more vibrant, sustainable, and pedestrian-oriented community, with a focus on enhanced transit opportunities. Encouraging an eclectic business mix, exploring housing options and new community focal points are also possible topics.

“We look forward to hearing more input from community members on the desired types of development, public spaces, and improvements to better accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists,” said First District Supervisor Susan Gorin.
