St. Francis celebrates 30 days of Cabernet

September 1st was national Cabernet Day and St. Francis Winery & Vineyards has taken it from one day to 30 days with their 30 Days of Cabernet Celebration.

From now until September 30, the up-valley winery will celebrate the iconic varietal with daily special events and activities – including special Cabernet themed food and wine pairings.

Saturday, September 10, the winery will host a Cabernet blending workshop. Winemaker Chris Louton will host guests on a hands-on educational experience which ends with each attendee bringing home their own bottle of wine they blended themselves. Reservations required ($72).

St. Francis’ ongoing Sonoma Tastemakers series continues as well, with Victorian Farmstead serving up complimentary samples, paired with Cab, to guests on Saturday, September 24 (free). Some of you may have enjoyed their meats at the Sonoma Valley Certified Farmers Market.

Daily activities include a Cab focused food and wine pairings, which includes a five-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Bryan Jones. The tasting will include reserve Artisan Cabs. Reservations recommended ($68).

Guests can also enjoy Cabernet flights ($15) and charcuterie and wine pairings on the patio, including a taste of Cab with a chocolate dessert ($35).
