2015 Imagery Viognier

Imagery Estate Winery’s 2015 Viognier is from Russian River’s Pratt Vineyard and was fermented in stainless steel.

The nose is very fragrant, with hints of Magnolia and white rose. It brought me back to my Aunt Pamela’s house, where fragrant, floral potpourri filled the air.

The mouthfeel is full of acid, Granny Smith apples and Asian pears come to mind. The mouthfeel becomes slightly carbonated, similar to what I experienced in their ’15 Wow Oui. That eventually mellows out, with a decent minerality and hint of fresh cut grass completes the taste.

Enjoy on a porch in New Orleans on a late afternoon, or serve with a spicy curry from Delhi Belly, a spicy taco from La Casa, or anything with Sriracha on top. It retails for $29. imagerywinery.com
