Kilgore pleads not guilty, next hearing Dec. 22

Posted on November 10, 2016 by Sonoma Valley Sun

Paul Dwayne Kilgore, the former athletic director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley who has plead “not guilty” to seven charges of sexual abuse of a child, remains in jail on $1 million bail until his next hearing, on December 22.

The judge will then determine if there is enough evidence to proceed with a trial.

Since his arrest on August 28, prosecutors have expanded the case to include lewd acts against a third young boy. Each count carries a maximum 15-years-to-life sentence. More charges are possible as the investigation into Kilgore’s predatory behavior continues.

After his arrest and photograph were publicized, the Healdsburg Police Department said it received credible information from over a dozen other victims alleging incidents of abuse dating back to the early 80s – a period spanning Kilgore’s 11-year employment with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley

Kilgore allegedly took boys on outings, including different swimming pools outside the Valley, where, once naked, inappropriate touching would take place. Authorities were told that Kilgore quit the job 2013 when the nonprofit changed its rules to prohibit staff members from seeing children outside of work hours.

The case against Kilgore was reportedly bolstered by items found during authorized searches of his home, car and storage space: photos, video cameras, and DVD tapes and trip planners labeled with boys names.

  1. Sounds like this guy is going to stew in jail for a long time before he even goes to trial .Arrested at the end of August .No more proceedings for over 5 weeks and the only way out is to post a million bucks . Hope he enjoys the food .
