Sonoma’s own 50-members “rock and roll choir,” Vox Populi, presents its Spring concert, at two venues in May. On Monday, May 8, the ensemble plays the Sebastiani Theatre; on Saturday, May 13, the site is the Sonoma Woman’s Club. Both shows are benefits for the host venue and start at 7:30 p.m.

The themed concert will feature the group’s complex, sophisticated harmonies in tunes written by women singer-songwriters such as Carol King, Joni Mitchell, Annie Lennox, Billie Holiday, Laura Nyro, Dolly Parton and many more. Mark Wilson and Mario Ramirez, of the band Plan Be,, will provide musical framework. Wine available for sale.

Tickets are $18 and available at the Sebastiani Theatre, 476 First St. E., 707.996.9756, or Tiddlewinks, 115 E. Napa St., 707.939.6933.
