Work continues on a segment of the Central Sonoma Valley Trail near Flowery School, a .4-mile segment of the bike and walking path that will link Aqua Caliente to Maxwell Farms Park. The Board of Supervisors approved in July a plan to fund and construct an additional .3-mile stretch east of Highway 12 at Verano.
Ultimately, the planned $34 million, 13-mile Sonoma Valley Trail would link the City of Santa Rosa and Agua Caliente, utilizing city streets and an 8-foot-wide paved trail parallel to Highway 12.
