Springs meeting to discuss homelessness

A discussion on homelessness in the Springs with representatives from various community service organizations dealing with the issue is the topic of yhe monthly meeting of the Springs Community Alliance on Thursday, March 15, 7 p.m. at La Luz Center, 17560 Greger St.

Also on the agenda: The Springs Traffic Calming committee will give an update and make have yellow traffic calming signs available to residents for $5. Also, a representative from Supervisor Gorin’s office will discuss County initiatives affecting the area.

The meeting is open to the public and anyone with an interest in the Springs is welcome to attend and weigh in on community issues. Translation services are provided.

SCA’s mission is to serve as a hub of communication and information affecting the interests and well-being of all people who live in, serve, or conduct business within the “Springs” neighborhoods of El Verano, Boyes Hot Springs, Fetters Hot Springs and Agua Client.

Regular meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at La Luz from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
