The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for the North Bay mountains effective 11 a.m. Saturday through 8 p.m. Sunday.
This alert was issued because of expected high temps, wind speeds, and low humidity. NWS warns that new fires will spread rapidly.
PG&E is not planning to shut off power, but is prepared to do so if extreme fire danger conditions exist. Here’s how.
Residents are urged to be cautious around sparks and flames outdoors during this time. It’s recommended that fields are mowed before 10 a.m., but never when it’s windy or excessively dry.
