The Mid-East Tapestry Ensemble performs Saturday, September 8 at the Sonoma Library.
This free concert of music from Arabic speaking countries, as well as Turkish, Greek, Armenian, and Persian traditions, features the traditional instruments of the region: the Kanoun, a 78-stringed Middle Eastern zither; the Oud, an 11-stringed lute; acoustic bass; and Arabic Tabla.
Vince Delgado, the group’s founder says, “there is much beautiful music to be heard from these countries that have been developing and evolving in their culture for a few thousand years.”
2 p.m. Sonoma Valley Library, 755 W. Napa St. Sonomalibrary.org.
